If you've received a US trademark office action asking you to clarify your legal entity, it means the USPTO is missing correct information about the intended owner of your trademark.
This can happen, for example, if you choose an entity type, but the information you fill out about the intended owner suggests they are a different entity, e.g. an individual instead of a sole proprietorship.
In the office action, the examiner will describe the issue and offer options for correction. If you follow their suggestion and fill out the information in the proposed format, your application should be cleared, and you should be able to proceed with the trademark registration process.
